Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
Who we are
This policy covers yourclinicmatch.co.uk ("Your Clinic Match", "we", "us"), an independent information site that links to an online weight management programme as an affiliate. We are the data controller for the limited data described below. Contact: jerry@thetruemarketer.com.
What we collect
- Information you don't type in. This site has no forms, accounts or sign-ups. We don't ask for your name, contact details or health information.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address, browser type and the pages requested so the site can be delivered securely.
- Advertising data, only if you accept. If you accept cookies, the Meta Pixel records that you visited and whether you clicked through, linked to a cookie identifier. See our cookie policy.
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include.
Any questionnaire or sign-up happens on the clinic's own website, under that clinic's privacy policy. We don't receive your answers.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- Delivering and securing the site: legitimate interests.
- Measuring and improving our adverts with the Meta Pixel: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Replying to your email: legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
- Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting and security)
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (advertising measurement, only with your consent)
- Google (fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers)
- The clinic we link to receives an affiliate tag in the link so it knows you came from this site. It does not identify you to us.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge.
How long we keep it
We don't store technical or advertising data ourselves. Cloudflare and Meta keep it under their own retention policies. Emails are kept for up to 12 months after the conversation ends, then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for access to your data, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or move it. You can withdraw cookie consent at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the main page. Email jerry@thetruemarketer.com to make a request.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We'll update this page if anything changes and show the date at the top.
